Send Text Message from PC – Android Message for Web

YES! You can send a text message from PC (Personal Computer) and it has proven to be useful in many situations. We are all used to sending text messages with our mobile phones any time the need arises but what happens when mobile phone usage is not 100% permitted especially in some work environment and you need to send coded and urgent messages. You don’t have to worry anymore as it is now possible to still send text message From PC via Wifi. It is easier than you can imagine. It’s (usually) free and makes typing is easier and faster.

Android Message for Web

Android Message allows people to use their PC for sending messages and viewing those that have been received on their Android smartphone. To view your messages on the web just like WhatsApp web, simply follow the following steps:

Step 1: Visit https://messages.google.com/web/authentication on any browser e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.

Step 2: On your Android device, Tap the SMS icon and click the 3 dots button on the RHS (Right Hand Side). Tap the “Messages for web” as directed below:

Step 3: click on the “QR Code Scanner” to scan the code in a blue box as shown in step 1 above. Once done, all the messages in your Android smartphone will appear on the browser. you can easily send and receive SMS as if is a chat.

Sending Text message through a free SMS website      

There are a countless number of free SMS websites that one can use to a text both locally and internationally. Some free texting messaging sites are Send SMS Now, A Free SMS, Txt2day and a host of others.

Sending Text message via Google Voice

Google Voice is software that can be used for calling, voicemail, call blocking, transcribing your voicemail messages to text, send and receive text messages without knowing the recipient’s carrier. You can choose a new number entirely or use your existing mobile number but Google Voice is limited to sending and receiving text messages to/from phone numbers in the U.S. and Canada. Texts sent using Voice will use Wi-Fi, or mobile data from your cell phone service.

You can easily send a friend text message through email if you know your friend’s phone number and cellphone provider.  This is achieved by typing your recipient’s 10 digit phone number with his phone domain name together as the recipient. Well, known domains include T-Mobile: @tmomail.net, AT&T: @text.att.net, Verizon: @vtext.com and several others. If you don’t know the domain name of your friend’s phone company, go to CarrierLookup or TextMagic and enter the phone number to find out.

 Then type -Phonenumber@text.att.net (for example) as the recipient where you see “TO” while composing an email, type the text in the body of the email and tap send.

The text message reply will go straight to your email’s inbox. Remember to e-mail 160-character SMS messages directly to a mobile phone and standard text message rates apply to recipients because the messages are sent as regular texts.

Sending Text message through your wireless carrier’s website

You can send a text to people from your own carrier’s website.  For instance, If you have My AT&T  or T-Mobile account, you can sign in to your account, where you can send and receive texts.

Sending Text message through Apple’s iMessage

The Messages app can be used to send messages. Just open up the Messages app, enter your recipient’s phone number (or Apple ID), write your message and press “send”. you can send a text to both iPhones and other kinds of phones through the app once your Mac is set up to receive texts from both your Apple ID and phone number.

These methods of sending a text through PC come in handy when your smartphone is not convenient for use. Having a good knowledge of how to send a text message from PC cannot be undermined.
