Office 365 Home and Students 2016 (only for PC) can be gotten for a one-time payment while others are paid for on a monthly basis. Office 365 Home, Office 365 Personal, Office 365 Business and Office 365 Premium Business have the online version of office (word, excel, PowerPoint, publisher (for PC only), access (for PC only) outlook, OneNote) while Office 365 Home and Students plan includes limited selection of word, excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and no service. Office 365 Business Essentials includes services but no app.
Services include One Drive, Skype/Skype for business, exchange, Sharepoint, Microsoft team. Office 365 Home and Students plan does not include any service but for other plans, different selections apply.
